Pyxis Marine dedicated in developing monitoring solution for marine applications. We continuously invest R&D in EGCS wash water monitoring, Total Residual Oxidizer for Ballast Water Management system and reinjection water monitoring for Oil and Gas platforms.

The Sulfur Cap 2020 drives a booming EGCS segment. Number of installed scrubbers doubled in 2019 and many of them were built by new players in this area. There are many engineering challenges need to be overcome, including the wash water monitoring. Particularly, PAH is very new to most of players and lots of confusions in the practice.

Pyxis Marine launched WWM-1000 wash water monitoring system in 2019 to make it easy for scrubber manufactures and ship owners all from installation and commission, classification certificate, to robust long term operation.

Consistent Sensor Design

All three sensors, PAH, turbidity and pH, are designed on the same platform with same flow connection as well as the same digital communication interface. They are also the smallest in wash water monitoring market with easy-to-use reputation.

Non-Sensitive to Bubbles

Intrinsic resistance to air bubbles from special design of optical structure in PAH sensor. Turbidity and color also well compensated to fulfill MEPC.259(68) requirement of less than 5% variation in operation conditions.

Auto Cleaning

Contamination is by far the No.1 source of malfunctions in wash water monitoring system. Manal cleaning and maintenance on such a new instrument increase burden to crew on top of operate the scrubber. WWM-1000 offers automatical cleaning feature by injecting cleaning solution with special and non-harzard formulation for wash water.

Quality Control for Robust Operation

Scrubbers travel globally with the vessel. It is very expensive to fix wash water monitor if operation issue occurs, not mentioning the risk of being non-compliance. Robust operation is our key goal. Quality control is implemented from the very beginning. All sensors have be tested in operation condition greater than 168 hours before shipment. Critical components like Siemens PLC and HMI all come with certificates.

Pyxis Marine won certificates for both sensors and wash water monitoring system.
DNV-GL, LR, ABS, BV and NK certificates could be expected by end of 2019.
Turbidity and pH Cal Solution
Three months calibration is suggested to achieve best pH sensor performance. Turbidity sensor is much more stable for interval longer than 6 months.
Cleaning Solution
Special formulation to remove particles and oil from sensors. Non-hazard and easy for transportation, claim and storage. Six months replace interval in normal operation.
PAH Cal Standard
Each set of PAH Calibration standard solution comes with ISO 17034 certification to assure high quality and accuracy. Six months life time and 10 minutes process for calibration.
